Here I’m going to list all the essays I’ve written to date inspired by the Hebrew letters. As time goes by, I’ll add my insights about non-Hebrew letters which have since evolved our language.
When reading this bear in mind that 1) each letter is equally important as each letter is the result of an utterance from G-d’s lips meant to bring another into like mind and connect us into Gaia’s community.
2) That said, since Yod, ‘hand of G-d’, is foundational for most of the letters, it plays a central part in our holy panoply.
Besides Yod influence on Aleph – our persistent breathing self, Yod, extended turns into Vav/Vau – which makes up Beis/Bet, Dalet, Nun, Tau/Tav, etc.
3) Even the moon, which light inspires several letters, such as Peh, Mem, and Kaph, is only appreciated when it reflects sun’s light.
4) Letters with ‘dots’ in them are all percussive – then G-d’s word reaches deep into a body -such as Bet, Peh. Then these make the most difference on another’s corpus.Without these ‘dots’, the word has the ‘v’ and ‘f’ sound – which aren’t nearly as far reaching.
PS I apologize to any rabbi who feels upstaged or if my work is inaccurate. The rabbi in my neighborhood wasn’t keen on having a ‘goy’ in his classes.
Special thanks to Rav Berg, may he RIP for his beautifully written “Energy of the Hebrew Letters” and to Chabad.org for their class on the letters of light. Without your willingness to teach and write I’d not have seen our language so appreciatively!!!
Here are links to the essays in order written. Most aren’t too polished but I hope their gist is apparent.
I’m also including essays that are primarily spiritually based some Kabbalistic, some not.
Here are the primarily Hebrew letter-based essays:
