The Souk Kingdom
The Souk kingdom is like no other, at least until now, so please be patient as I bear witness to my vision.
The souk kingdom is located wherever Gaia’s “pretty”. As souk shares its roots with sweet, succor, and success there are few distractions either ‘good’ or ‘bad’.
Being pretty includes all that without being over -the-top beautiful. Beauty tends to slow everyone down while they are drawn to appreciate it. The souk kingdom(s) aren’t typically where there’s a grand vista or spectacle- but usually has a livable climate.
It’s a place where people are ~ happy, industrious, ‘creator god’ individuals by design of its language which is generally reserved or uplifting.
As consortiums of families progressively coalesce, they enlarge their collectives based on mutual interests and co-creations.
***
The Souk kingdom runs on principle that a ‘self and community-affirmed life creates positive opportunities for itself and others’. In a community milieu of witnesses one’s connections are based on interests not only demographic.
As graduates of the souk ‘method’ of teaching are drawn to ‘souk kingdoms’, new community economies will emerge based on different craft hobbies in addition to the economies we have now.
Like retiree hobby activities that were a profit stream despite the pandemic’s overall shutdown, the souk economy is resilient to market’s ups and downs. The active cohesive participation in the ‘souk school and community collective’ is a built-in safety net.
The ‘vacation’ economy (and those protecting the health and wealth of those feeding luxury ones) dominates now, and will continue, but the two can coexist to mutual benefit– though possibly for different reasons.

Sit back on your magic carpet and imagine yourself hovering in space between two or more attractions that appeal to you. Heck, pretend you’re over all of them at the same time. Nested between them, in an out of way place – yet accessible by roads is a favorite place waiting for a visit. It is here you find your kingdom.
If you have no interesting places, or can’t imagine what I’m talking about, explore on line. This is fun to do. Make vision boards. While few get their dreams answered right away, all do in time – it’s ok to be patient and know everything in your life is going according to plan.
I prefer gentle rolling hills with territorial views, streams and small lakes with evergreen stands. There’s probably a big rock outcropping or some other structural element which I can visit quietly. Nothing too dramatic that brings in rabble rousers.
The kingdom is divided into quadrants – according to a land’s natural boundaries and features. Although there might be a special part that is in its own category.
While not as spectacular as those listed in vacation destination brochures, each quadrant has smaller attractions of definite value. There are parks.
While geographically each quadrant might be used for different purposes and different things, each has its own souk school and collective consortium.
All souk schools offer rudiments in useful skills and knowledge of cooking, sewing, carpentry, and metal shop – along with relevant math, science, and history. Powers of ‘observation’ are honed starting with and history taking culminating with interviews between collectives, are honed and recorded. Physical training in arts of life with movement and stillness.
The collective consortium is an adult community center program with federally funded on site ‘tutors’ (more senior ‘badge’ holders) staffing each fundamental craft ‘shops’ to support ongoing adult enrichment using latest techniques.
Because different quadrants have slightly different expertise – possibly reflecting their non-kingdoms bordering lands and earliest inhabitant’s expertise, additional programs specifically enriching that quadrant develop naturally.
*
There is a king and queen. Unlike traditional kings and queens, these are chosen by the people from a population of recommended individuals. Each chosen individual is selected for their skills and picked by the outgoing king and queen from a folded group of color-coded slips.
Each ‘office’ is drawn separately. There is no distinction between male and female – but both need to be available to do their full schedule – so this weeds out those with active commitments and young families.
As these individuals tend to be the seniors of the community, they don’t have young children per se which they directly respond to. Their term is four years but they can be reelected.
Because each is chosen on their merits for their particular job, they live in their own wings with their own retinue including spouses and significant others. Each have their own sections of the castle they’re free to enhance – like adding gardens and statuaries.
***
The ‘king’ is chosen for ‘his’ ability to hold court – which he does all day – fielding, directing, and strategizing. ‘He’ holds audiences according to ‘his’ delight and when needed. ‘He’ gets to choose everything. It is a nice life but intense.
He receives and analyses, gives priority to reports from his quadrant’s spies – so he’s ahead of the game. As k’ing, he wants to hear “ka-ching”, like when monies are collected from the luxury economy. (The luxury economy is based on that which gives light – so is birthday and holiday related when folks wear special attire, eat special meals, and give special gifts.)
‘He’ turns his efforts to protecting the fruits of commerce – routine management of roads and traffic leading to and from the souks and transfer stations. ‘He’ maintains connections between quadrants. If there’s one thing you can count on when visiting a souk kingdom, the roads are great for conveyances and there’s reliable public transportation.
Maintenance of large roads, which support both the surrounding communities as well as conveyors of commerce (the basis of ‘taxation’ receipts), comes from ‘king’s’ coffers. This gives each quadrant a fair shot at being accessible. ‘He’ provides support for clean water and air projects and efforts. With ‘his’ attentions, the souk kingdom’s subjects feel cared for and safe.
In return, they provide industry.
He protects and gives special resources to roads that connect communities so they can easily mingle and trade.
Then ‘he’ hangs out in the situation room which is really neat- full of maps with symbols and signs – along with his A.C.G. astrologer. The latter is a specialist in geophysical astrology (astrocartography). That is if he wants one; an astrologer is helpful to have.
As head steward of the kingdom managing his four quadrants – each with its strengths of resource and value, ‘his’ specialty is parlay. ‘He’ fixes, spends coffers on the roads and kingdom’s public buildings (SS&CC, museums, and caravanseries).
While some areas of the land may be prone to earthquakes, tornados, or tsunami, because the souk kingdom is slightly hilly and challenging, isn’t in a wide-open location or by the ocean, these disasters occur rarely.
When they do, they serve to pull collective’s together in brand new ways.
While every part of the kingdom will have its fair share of challenges and bad weather events, at the same time, others won’t – ‘he’ll’ know who to mobilize to help the other out.
‘He’ coordinates distribution of resources when mother nature has a temper tantrum –from rains, fires, and flooding – like F.E.M.A. Then, with ‘his’ advisors, ‘he’ll’ decide which rescue crews and heavy machinery to send from the other quadrants – or whether to call in help from outside until everything is once again up and running.
The ‘king’/’queen’ paradigm is recapitulated at an even higher level based on geographic boundaries.
(And yes, I mean ‘he’ll’ = ‘hell’. As ‘king’, ‘his’ decisions affect an unknown audience. How they receive said intervention as welcome or unwelcome depends on their frame of reference.)
When the bulk of a collective is usefully employed, or feels that way anyway, and there’s enough for most to celebrate parties and holidays, there’s little grumbling and I’ll-ness.
The ‘king’ addresses problems before they happen by bolstering weaker areas indirectly- proactively giving them attention.
Those requiring special attention to calm and engage usefully–he’ll do this mostly from behind the scenes.
(Dissenters and reports about sick ones are the subjects the spies note. That a system breaks down is a sign it’s under stress. Then the weakest members of a collective manifest I’ll-ness. Stresses include too much chaotic change or too little opportunity or perception thereof.
IN addition to addressing the underlying concern, ‘he’ might engineer to brighten up their news feed – especially if they’re in sorrow collectively; say “no” to ‘Twitter’ which depicts a world of shaming and lack of responsibility.
The ‘king’ is a really good interpreter and has an ear for languages. He supports annual celebrations by showing up and periodically giving a little extra to update and upgrade a program the latter especially is co-created with the ‘queen’. He distributes philanthropic grants and donations.
Some, but not all, enhancement grants are given for as rewards for spectacular productivity of any sort on a rotating basis.
Since ‘he’ comes from a specific collective, ‘he’ll’ likely have ‘his’ favorites– including those who put ‘his’ name in the hat. They’re special to ‘him’ as ‘he’s’ special to them.
Next time another quadrant will get lucky. Perhaps ‘his’ quadrant is specifically not included in the next draw for that position. After ‘his’ term is up, ‘he’ll’ retire to a nice residence in the quadrant of ‘his’ choosing – as will the queen.
[1]*
The queen has ‘her’ own skill set which gets ‘her’ name in her hat. ‘She’ addresses all concerns relating to the kingdom as a structural being.
‘She’s’ in charge of approving meals for all the state occasions, which are frequent, approving all decorations (unless the k’ing wants to participate), and managing all castle’s physical plant challenges. She interfaces with the experts. ‘She’ reviews staffing and maintenance of buildings of the souk schools and adult collectives, museums, and the caravanserais.
‘She’ also manages and mobilizes aid stations and other recuperative areas depending on need; after all, accidents do happen at souk school and community collective center (SS&CC), albeit not often.
‘She’ may enact changes in a quadrant school’s curriculum- including around meals and exercise program. She contributes her flair to the seasonally appropriate menu and decorations, which the ‘king’ might or might not weigh in on.
While ‘she’ doesn’t keep tabs on philanthropic monies tagged for special programs and such, her department ensures receipts are collected. So yes, ‘she’s’ in charge of collections.
Because ‘she’, like the k’ing, is an elder of the system, ‘she’ knows what’s needed for high levels of participation for both kids and adults- which is the whole point.
Selection of the king and queen
Because of the nature of election, every man, woman, and child has access to these ‘royal’ position(s). Being selected is based on aptitude, interest, and personality- relatability to the position. This is honed through opportunity to the souk school collectives.
(For more about the SS&CC centers, check out this link, https://drjenwyman-clemons.com/2025/04/25/summary-of-souk-school-and-collective-its-value-and-blessings/ or these original essays ‘souk 1 and 2’.)
Each position has its own hat. The outgoing king and queen choose for the treasurer first – who will rise to become ‘king’ ultimately. Perhaps they do the ‘treasurer’s job’ , ‘secretary’, in the first. The final product to make a king and queen takes a few years to get prepared.
Natural “kings” excel at being the souk school’s top ‘guides’ and “general information” leaders. ‘He’ likes responding to people and is a visionary.
For the queen, ‘she’ll’ have the equivalent of eagle scout expertise at the souk educations and can to teach anything so she knows what is entailed in the production of any given souk widget.
They’ll both tend to have badges for aspects of training related to planning, strategy, coordination, and leadership. Really these are already natural for them, the badge makes it official.
After their reign, they’ll follow on the typical track of memoir sharing, endorsing, and comfortably laying back while doing their favorite activities. Perhaps they’ll add some masterful adornment to a widget at the end of a production- which they sell as their own.
Each will move on to an estate in a quadrant of their choosing and be state-supported. This home will be large enough to host a big party and have their favorite work studios. They’ll be surrounded by their own and student art works.
Both ‘king’ and ‘queen’ will be an ongoing valuable resource for subsequent rulers. (Inshallah)
- Dinner ritual
While they aren’t usually involved in relationship otherwise, the king and queen join for tea. They take time each day to catch each other up on various collective conditions. Sharing on the condition of their kingdom helps coordinate efforts proactively.
Dinner is light especially when sitting down with unfamiliar company. It is focused mostly three sisters (and five continents[2]) They eat together if possible. Because of the souk-supported community, they might know each other but not necessarily.
(Meals eaten with strangers are poorly digested if they’re too heavy. Then, intestinal arteries are constricted and digestion is slowed. Until groups get comfortable with each other most have butterflies. In addition to three sisters of grain, legume, and gourd, fish and vegetables with small portions of sprouted or non-gluten bread are a norm.
Over the next years, holidays are a time for heavier fare.)
*Security
In the souk kingdom everyone ‘has enough’. They know that with reasonable effort, they get their, and their collective’s needs met (through their own achievement). They know they get what they wish for- in time. They hone to their heart’s inklings and have a realistic sense of future options as cultivated by uplifting words and badges.
For these reasons, it is rare to need security other than for assistance. This goes within and without the k’ingdom(s) as they too are all interconnected.
Security support takes care of those liable to falls and to provide occasional steadying. There’s an ‘elder’ buddy system available for both men and women. A portion might mobilize when nature calls collectives together.
Especially after a few years of being dressed by someone (which is likely still true today for most royal figures), a being of royalty may have a tendency towards rigidity unless they’ve kept up on the mobility exercises and slow static forms.

The kingdom isn’t in vacation land though that’s a nice place to visit. Vacation land is a place for spectacles.
From Gaia’s perspective, spectacles are there to be savored by any hu(e)-man who wants to visit and can get there under their own steam. (So not brought by families necessarily and not much aided and abetted by anyone to get there other than being given suggestions.)
Since tourists may visit these areas as part of a pilgrimage, they can, but don’t often need to visit the surrounding kingdoms. So touristic visits to an attraction not in the Souk kingdom, have little impact on souk denizens.
When tourists visit, they buy luxury and art items as tokens of visiting which they can cherish later- especially if they’re ordinarily busy and have little time to themselves other than self-caring. Even their children buy stuff. Each purchase supports a local artist colony or collective – as it often does now.
Sometimes tourists can go a little overboard. In order to successfully support an uneventful ‘recovery’, they need ancillary services – preferably located near the attraction so as not to be disruptive. At designated areas, have activities including work out/form stations (like the European par cours system) which can be done al(l)-one, and dancing. Group dancing is especially healing and restorative as all the hearts in one room radiate together.
When they finish vacationing, they’ve usually changed their tenor- whether to get on ‘camp’ time, “island time” or some other perception of time relaxing.
Then they go home to wield their tools again with a bit more ease. They have a fresh start until the next visit to another panorama point.
After resting, their minds are more focused and relaxed. This can take up to two weeks to reset. This is the “vacation” economy; it doesn’t help the souk kingdom economy directly but adds spice. And the souk kingdom economy is in additional to the essential.
(Currently we take vacations ~a week at a time and stick to busy schedules. We constantly eat with strangers; our digestion is upset. We don’t get a full benefit of resting and replenishing- by our choices. This economy works well to bring in extra monies to the state housing said spectacle, but not much to surrounding communities and ‘kingdoms’ other than for employing seasonal workers.)
Because life is always life – alive and soaking it all in variously, hu(e)-man waveforms get tired, stub their toes, etc. Then they know they can go to any one of ashram-like Souk healing center. They are walk-in for meditation, for some float tank; with appointments for dosha and other consultations. There are ongoing classes with gentle standing balletic Tai-Chi movement sessions. some even lead by the collective who came in. There’s a quiet open lie down area with warmed floors.
More central centers are residential, especially if the ‘kingdom’ wants to attract more visitors from ‘outside’ to bring monies into the economy. The less urban/peripheral pods are simple- can mostly just walk-in or wait until a space opens.
While spa-like in ambience, instead of focusing a waveform being on changing their appearance or to hone to invisible parameters, they offer useful and tangible advice and hands-on healing.
That they are present is hugely reassuring to surrounding populace-they feel they have a place to go – even if just subconsciously.
By their presence alone those around are comforted- even if by only one person in a collective.” Mom” needs her helpers!
Theme with grounding colors – including warm reds and burgundy, splashes of lime green, and deeper ones. Let a fountain be music.
Don’t forget, there’s also the AEIOU fun center for adults! https://drjenwyman-clemons.com/2025/11/16/more-aeiou-medicine/
[1] The souk kingdom’s borders are porous – so it’s common to hear all kinds of languages. Anyone can come in and get situated and there’s plenty of work. Other than the first aid station and fire house, there are few social safety nets because of the design of the souk school and collective is inherently uplifting as is the language. People tend to be active and live long productive lives.
Wherever you go people speak gently to each other and especially around pregnant women.)
For those just starting out in their souk school-based collective careers – who are new to the area or exploring options in a souk economy away from home, there are caravanserais-style accommodations that are open year-round.
These caravanserais support teachers at the souk school and collective as well as visiting individuals with special expertise.
In the collective, not the school, there is an ongoing schedule of demonstrations from all over the country – as well as all over the world.
So while it isn’t dramatic, the souk kingdom is cosmopolitan. Its fashions are stimulated by the cross-pollinating visitors. People visit SS&CC areas to bring skills home to their international sister cities. This system encourages growth from a place of power and integrity.
[2] Five continents includes seasonings and specialties from each major landmass. So, for example, Europe, Africa, Asia, Americas with their multiplicities.
