Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.

Dearest hundred-year-old Jennifer,

I am so glad you made it this far.

I know that was part of the ‘plan’ and that there might even be some more years ahead of you.

I’m guessing that you move much more slowly than you did at 68 -how old I am now- and it takes a lot longer to get ready in the morning. While you’re a compared to a turtle or sloth, because you’re slow, I know it’s because you’re savoring every single minute of the day. you are venerable and enjoying a sovereign condition.

And I know that you’re much more distractible because you know that bird is singing for you and that that tree is blooming just that way so you see it.

I’m guessing that while the world will be one of signs and omens, there will be tangible human love and laughter that wasn’t even there in the first half of your life- for the most part. But then again it really was- just in a different form.

I hope you’re still moving and doing at least some chair yoga and chair Ballet. The latter is a new technique of movement than what’s available on line in 2026; it hasn’t been developed yet -but I know you’re gonna do it.

And I hope your book was really successful -The one that I’m working on now. Maybe you’ll write others- and, who knows, maybe you’ll be famous.

I hope you still love to take pictures, have your a wicked tart sense of humor, have all your teeth, and are with the love of your life G. (my twin flame l’Ove daemon) tete à tete and heart to heart- and …always share warm feet together!

And through all that- still singing in tongues!

  1. I am 66. I’ve been shocked at how negatively the younger set sees aging. Life is good at every age.

    1. And the more we speak kindly to it, the more fun it gets!
