What gives you direction in life?
I used to think that I was lucky because I was goal-oriented. I wanted to be a doctor, was fascinated by sciences and math.
and so I did, almost practicing for 30 years. And then my life changed- the rug got pulled out from under my feet- granted for years I was already disillusioned after ongoing reading of basic sciences literature.
Since then, I am mostly led by serendipity and wants -and affirmed by resounding synchronicities.
I pursue ideas into rabbit holes researching to my heart’s content.
I generally don’t create too much distracting drama as I live alone which was often a source of motivation earlier.
Regular online classes form my week’s container.
I don’t have that much to overcome or hinder me directly; I also don’t receive much support or guidance. My direction isn’t skewed to anyone else’s demands though my cats regularly motivate me to focus on them!
messes I make in my kitchen, other home chores, playing solitaire, and writing, also can take up my time.
I’m learning how to rest and not just ‘do’ to stay busy.
