How do you write what people actually want to read?

when you write about what your heart knows and loves to do, others with similar interests can relate to it and are drawn in- looking for more of it like tonic or medicine.

I can’t imagine another way to engage all hearts to wanna read what another person has said.

You can force them or give them rewards – use the carrot and stick approach – but that doesn’t necessarily stick, or when it does, it’s after reading more than once rather than words just flying off the page into your heart.

I’m a really wordy writer and hardly anybody likes to read my stuff. I try to break essays into smaller pieces- but probably should do more.

But you know, I figure that I’ll reach whom needs to read it. And so far so good- looking at my stats, they’re gradually going up which I really do appreciate.

while I wish they were higher and that I could appeal to more people, I realize that what I write about, has a lot of layers and isn’t always clear or well articulated. Most people don’t have time for it- but those few who do – are reading.

I can’t fault anybody, I fault the system and the lineage of our language that made it so hard to read or me to write more engagement and clarity. Luckily, with time and practice, I’m gradually getting better.

I think in the end I’ll reach especially those who look most like me or my inner avatar- or at least this is what I’ve been lead to believe.

I once heard it was helpful to place a picture those in your inner eye’s audience on your computer frame or place of writing to stay focused as an author.

For a time it was a Google image result of numerous redheads- which is how I often used to relate to by feelings after being with them. I am super sensitive, super critical, and have oodles of words to describe what i see or understand.

Now I put up a mirror and have a canvas with an ‘oracle’ picture.

Putting up the picture of redheads didn’t help – got me more tense.

Amidst a field of pink roses which my oracle pic has in it- in my mind if not in front of me. This is much more appealing – I try not to focus on the thorns that must be there. Though there are days I can’t forget them.

I have zero control on how or whom it lands once I’ve put it out there or it’s shared- so i try to be true and truthful with my words so I can stand behind them.

we know how truths change- gain a life of their own- subject to hearsay’s embellishments when spoken. Written they can keep their original form – and without other’s pauses and intonations other than the reader him or herself.

Writing , my corpus has been expressed; I’m not just sensing and responding but doing. writing is an expressive activity.

I write to express myself -that I’ve applied some of my personal potential to a piece of paper or hunt and pecked them on a phone’s texting keyboard.

Writing is not a people pleasing activity when authentic as the title suggests.

Sentiments are expressed with sentences. Sentences and paragraphs shared- add to the collective’s sentience. Each takes it their own way according to their lineage and fluency.

Lasting inspiration is evidence of Yod’s- G-d’s hands and fingers reaching His world of seekers. Landed, to the heart they are gifts of nectar.

(Yod is in each vowel of any given word we read and hear- except e, even and especially when silent. Those ‘are ‘belong’ to Gaia and Her elements.)

Read words land as they resonate, or don’t, on the reader’s inner light body’s landscape just as those spoken do, but in our personal voice and tone- not the author’s, unless we’ve heard them before. Meanwhile we make our own up for each character as written.

Written words embody the same expressive symbols to the brain- adding to cognitive understanding. Without being heard, the brain doesn’t associate the homophones the way it does when words are spoken aloud. It might be interesting to study which readers prefer which pieces.

We also have different pace and emphases, such as over- and undertones, so reading is but(puny) derivative of an author’s feelings as they write and express their story, prose, report or essay.

Heard words – received by eardrum and body from another’s voice are a far richer form of communication to one’s corpus. But too many words and processing gets tired. With writing, a reader can rest and take a time out according to their needs.
