Brief personal statement

Now that the FDA has approved the vaccine for use with younger children, I hope those who do not choose vaccination will be either accommodated (wearing their personal protective gear) or ignored. Perhaps develop portable HEPA systems for kids in cubicles.

Personally, I’m going to sit out my vaccination because 1) I have no intimate family members that I might infect. 2) I always wear a mask. 3) I did not get Covid-19 even though I ate inside, traveled by air and train all whilst in a high-infection rate area (Alaska in Dec 2020). 4) There is no pressing need for me to travel (yet).

Having worked in immunology in one form or another for my whole career, I am confident saying I would rather wait until this has been out for two years. The vaccines are approved on an emergency basis. Previous science with them was limited to melanoma and a small handful of other diseases; there have been no long-term studies; what was done was on few patients with n-stage dis-ease. Right now there is a 40% reduction in severe dis-ease from Covid-19 infections- if I’m reading things correctly. Personally, I have no significant risk factors for severe disease (Inshallah).

Other vaccinations have had problems for certain populations that took time to surface. We don’t know if the RNA from this vaccine might mix up with ongoing infectious RNAs from either the vector alpha virus or covid-10 mutants? There are other questions.

Reactions seem more adverse in older allergic females with food allergy- like me, as well as those others with autoimmune dis-ease. Why is that no one knows. These people, like me, ‘should’ be easily exempted from pressure to become vaccinated. Let public opinion be what it may, shrug, and smile.

Most people seem to do fine with the vaccines, which is reassuring.  We don’t know if the vaccine helps prevent infection acquisition; nor if one can still be contagious with covid-19 able to infect someone else, or at the same time with one other many mutant variants, even while vaccinated.

So how could this possibly become mandated – it hasn’t been proven yet!? To be calling for mandates already speaks to me of opportunistic agenda.

Otherwise, reward behavior you want more of!

Blessings and have a nice day!

Addendum – since publishing this, tests of the vaccines currently in use show a “2-3 fold decrease” in effectiveness against South African, British, and Indian virus variants – although T-cell responses seem “unchanged”. WTF does that even mean – “2-3 fold decrease in effectiveness? That was from the AAAAI to the allergists.
